The service overlays videos from a number of video sharing sites with a new layer containing this customized content, which can be used for entertainment purposes or as an easy (and potentially effective) means of monetizing video.

Microsoft To Patent Page Up/Page Down Functions

I don’t know what the boffins at Microsoft are smoking, but they have apparently filed for and received a patent that is tantamount to Page Up/Page Down functionality. According to the patent’s own words, it covers a ‘method and system for navigating paginated content in page-based increments,’ with an example of pressing either Page Up or Page Down keys to navigate between the next or previous page. Interesting bit of news, but no way will it be revolutionary. What do you think Microsoft has up their sleeves with this patent?

The outcome, which you can check out at IKEA Hacker or in the many larger pics at the original forum post, is really impressive. The headphone stand seems like a perfect addition to any desk, particularly if you do any sort of editing or you just like zoning out with headphones when you’re working.
